The frame for this 1,500 square foot Vermont home was constructed from planed Eastern white pine timbers cut from the customer's property. Frame dimensions of 24'x26', a 6' second floor knee wall, and a finished 3rd floor loft combine to create a cozy yet comfortable floor plan. The home features first floor maple flooring, a locally crafted cherry cabinet kitchen, an open living and dining room, a half bath and a mudroom. The second floor contains a full bathroom, two bedrooms and a laundry room. The kingpost gable dormer adds light and space to the master bedroom and a timber frame porch welcomes visitors to this efficient Vermont home. The house is off the power grid and takes advantage of great southern exposure for harnessing solar power for electricity and incorporates a high efficiency wood boiler for heat and hot water.
