At the heart of this Mad River Valley home are two separate planed Eastern hemlock timber structures tied together with SIPs in some parts and stick framed 2x6 walls insulated with sprayed-in isocyanurate foam in others. The smaller of the two frames houses a first floor cathedral ceiling master bedroom suite and the larger encompasses the kitchen, living and dining areas. Between the two timber structures on the first floor, an open room provides the perfect acoustics for performances and lessons on a grand piano. Above this room are additional bedrooms and a bathroom.
