This timber framed structure overlooking Sugarbush's Mount Ellen ski resort, was designed to allow for a spacious great room with generous office space above. First floor timber framing creates space for a kitchen, dining room and mudroom on one side of the great room and a master bedroom suite on the other side. Two bedrooms and a bathroom fill the space above these areas. Finely detailed rustic cut-out metal railings and a massive stone fireplace add character to this beautiful frame. An independent, but adjoining first floor timber framed structure houses a cozy family room. The walls of the entire house and the roof system above the first floor timber are stick framed and insulated with sprayed-in isocyanruate foam. SIPs were used to insulate the roof of the central timber frame. A timber framed entry and walkway to the garage adds hansome timber details to the exterior.
